VERY FIRST GHOST TOUR
I had never really been interested in haunted houses or abandon places or even a ghost paranormal activities. However, my best friend some how convinced me to drive an hour to Weston, WV after driving for the last 2 hour consuming the breathtaking views of the mountains in WV for a ghost tour. Though I was hesitate at first, the experience was quite eerie and entertaining.
The photo pictured was taken on a disposable camera app, which turns a normal picture into a filtered image that resembles that a disposable camera would produce. I was hoping that after taking the photo and when developed a figure would be in it. However, this wasn't case but still produced a creepy looking photo. In addition, this photo was captured in the children wing of the asylum.
The tour guide informed us of her own personal experiences with trolling through the halls of this asylum at night. Some of the activities she had experienced were doors being slammed, something tugging on her pants and whispers as she walked based different rooms. Personally, if any of those activities would have happened to me, I would have cried and never gone back. But I did find it kind of cool to feel the shift in temperatures from different floors and rooms.
Pros:
- Ghost tours: There are a couple different tours to select from. The difference in the tours are the route that is taken, plus some additional information about each section of the asylum.
- Haunted House: This is separate to the ghost tours so if you don't like ghosts, this is a good alternative
- Parking: Was not clear were to park but super close to the building. But since it is so close to the building people are walking everywhere all the time with very little lighting. Be careful
- Lines: We went on a rainy day so it was not very busy at all, but there was a long tent which people were to wait under for the next tour to start.
