Not Like MIND
HI!
This is week, I got a chance to understand the difference between a raster and a vector image. The image that I chose for this project is a poster of 7-8 people that only display what social science that runs throughout their minds. The artist's intention was to represent the diversity of the human minds based on the kind of social sciences. Though the artist does a great job of portraying the social sciences, I interpreted this poster in a different manner.
In short, I believe that this poster represents that “Everyone is different.” However, on a more complex and deeper understanding, this poster is representing that everyone has a different concept, journey, and path that they follow on the daily. Furthermore, displaying what drives people and how it differs for everyone. In addition, I felt that this poster portrayed the idea of self and individuality.
I resonated with this poster, for this reason, I put myself in the perspective of one of the people in the poster. As being one of those people on the poster, my thoughts were not like anyone else, I found myself truly reflecting on how much I am completely different from another human. Furthermore, I came to realize that my thoughts are completely my own, and the outside world has no idea what could be running through my mind. In a similar manner, it brings up the matter of mental health. For this reason, like mentioned, everyone is different in the thoughts that run through their minds, therefore, people may not know that someone is going through a rough period of time.
